The US dollar exchange rate on the international Forex currency market has dropped below 84 rubles, updating the minimum in almost nine months. This happened for the first time since June 27, 2024.
As of 13:08 Moscow time, the dollar/ruble pair fell by 1.74%, reaching 83.98 rubles. In the Russian interbank market, the dollar lost 1.3%, falling to 84.18 rubles.
Analysts attribute the strengthening of the ruble, in particular, to an increase in the supply of foreign currency from exporters.
It should be noted that the Bank of Russia set the official exchange rate of the US dollar for the weekend and Monday, March 17, at 85.56 rubles, the euro at 93.60 rubles, and the yuan at 11.81 rubles. RBC writes about this.
