The court found that in the period from March to September 2024, the seller, working in the Grocery 24-Hour store located on Vorovsky Street, sold alcohol to underage teenagers at least eight times. Despite the fact that in January 2024 he was already brought to administrative responsibility for a similar violation and was fined 30,000 rubles, the seller continued his illegal activities.
The court, agreeing with the position of the state prosecutor, found the defendant guilty under Article 151.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (retail sale of alcoholic beverages to minors) and imposed a sentence of 1 year of correctional labor withholding part of earnings to the state. In addition, he is prohibited from engaging in activities related to the retail sale of alcoholic beverages for two years.
The convict tried to appeal the verdict, citing its severity, but the court of appeal upheld the decision. He will serve his sentence in the correctional center of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Kirov region.
