
In the Kirov region, men illegally caught 11 burbot
At 270 km of the main ship passage of the Vyatka River, employees of the Kirov Linear Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia saw two residents of the Kirov region aged 40 and 47 on transport. The men were fishing with the help of a tackle for a boat hook. As a result, the violators caught 6 pieces of burbot fish. At the same time, a little earlier, transport police officers stopped a similar violation on 222 km of the Vyatka River in the Urzhumsky district: a 63-year-old local man also illegally caught 5 burbot using a prohibited fishing gear.
In total, the men caused damage to the stability of the environment and the natural resource potential of the Kirov region in the amount of 11 thousand rubles. Prohibited types of fishing gear and the catch itself were seized. Criminal cases have been initiated on the grounds of a crime provided for in paragraphs "b" and "c" of Part 1 of Article 256 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal extraction (fishing) of aquatic biological resources). It is worth noting that the maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of this article is imprisonment for up to 2 years.
