Kirov residents celebrated spring in Poroshino
This holiday represents the arrival of spring, renewal and hope for the best. The Carnival week, full of joy and merriment, ended on March 2 with a Forgiven Sunday. People have traditionally asked each other for forgiveness in the hope of putting past grievances and misunderstandings.
State Duma Deputy Oleg Valenchuk and his team have been investing their strength and soul in the development of Poroshino Construction Complex for more than 20 years. Therefore, the holiday "Maslenitsa in Poroshino" has already become a brand of Vyatka, and every year this event attracts more and more people who want to become part of a vibrant and amazing tradition.
Oleg Valenchuk greeted the guests with his song "The Anthem of Vyatka", asked for forgiveness and wished everyone health and well-being.
— We honor the traditions of our ancestors and every year on the last day of Maslenitsa we ask each other for forgiveness, — Oleg Valenchuk noted. — And, of course, we're having a lot of fun. Poroshino has been a family vacation destination, a point of attraction and positive emotions for many years. Tens of thousands of people with children and friends gathered here today. And everyone finds something to do.
Indeed, many citizens wished to join the folk traditions. But in Poroshino, one could also meet numerous guests from other cities and even countries, which once again confirms that tourism in Vyatka is developing.
Everyone who didn't want to stay at home that day had something to do at the festival.
The children took part in various agility, speed and strength competitions. Energy and excitement filled the space, creating an atmosphere of fun and friendship. Contests and competitions were also organized for adults, where they could demonstrate their athletic skills and daring, for example, in tug of war or conquering the Maslenitsa pole. And in the tent of the Union of Gardeners of Russia, all guests were traditionally treated to hot tea and Vyatka sweets.
The culmination of the holiday was the burning of an effigy of Morana, symbolizing the departure of winter and the meeting of the long—awaited spring.
Broad Maslenitsa in Poroshino is not only an opportunity to enjoy delicious pancakes and entertainment, a place for new acquaintances, but also a time to communicate with loved ones, strengthen family ties. This holiday serves as a reminder of the importance of traditions, how they unite people, bring joy and give hope for a better future.
