Kirov drug addict jailed
A 31-year-old resident of Kirov who uses drugs, in December 2023 and in January 2024, twice agreed on the Internet to purchase synthetic narcotic drugs. He kept it with him, as well as in the car interior until it was discovered and seized by the police. The size of the substance in the first case was more than 45 grams, which is a large size, and in the second — 0.74 grams, which is a significant size.
The prosecutor's office of the Leninsky district of Kirov supported the state prosecution in the criminal case against the man. He was convicted under Parts 1 and 2 of Articles 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic drugs on a significant and large scale). The court agreed with the prosecutor's opinion and sentenced the Kirov resident to 1 year and 7 months in prison. He was taken into custody in court.
The means of communication that the man used during the commission of the crime has been confiscated. He will serve his sentence in a general regime colony.
