The gasoline crisis has returned to Kirov: gas stations are empty again, prices are rising, and authorities are asking for patience.

      In Kirov, the situation with gasoline has worsened again. According to reports from motorists, on August 31, fuel ran out at several gas stations, and where it is still available, long queues are forming and prices are rising. At the "Strelka" — the intersection of Oktyabrsky Avenue and Vladimirskaya — at the "Lukoil" gas station, motorists say there is no gasoline. Meanwhile, according to data from an app providing information on fuel availability, AI-95 was only left at one "Lukoil" gas station on Proizvodstvennaya. At the time of observation, the queue there consisted of more than 100 vehicles. The situation is actively discussed by the drivers themselves. City public forums report a lack of gasoline at gas stations near "Malakhit" and on Melnichnaya. At some gas stations, fuel is still available, but prices have noticeably increased. In particular, at "Irbis," AI-95 is already priced at 110 rubles per liter. Just on August 29, the same gasoline was sold there for 109 rubles. At the "Mayak" gas station near "Djem City," the display also indicated a price of around 110 rubles per liter. At "Kirov-Nefti" near the station, AI-95 is still available at a price below 100 rubles per liter. However, there is a limit on dispensing — no more than 40 liters. "The crisis is over" — and now we need to endure again The current situation is particularly noteworthy against the backdrop of events from early August. At that time, the governor of the Kirov region, Alexander Sokolov, announced the overcoming of the fuel crisis in the region. Restrictions on gasoline sales by vehicle numbers were lifted, and the regional head thanked residents for enduring the period of shortage. Now the authorities are again calling the situation tense. On August 31, at a meeting, the governor reported that over the past weekend, gasoline supplies to gas stations in the Kirov region had significantly deteriorated. According to him, fuel has disappeared at many "Lukoil" gas stations. "This is not our problem, not a regional one," Sokolov stated, linking the situation to attacks on oil refining infrastructure. At the same time, the governor noted that there is "much more gasoline in the region than in neighboring areas." The chairman of the regional government, Mikhail Sandalov, also described the situation as tense. According to him, many oil refineries are currently under repair after the attacks. Authorities state that there is a fuel reserve in the region and its distribution is being controlled. Additionally, "Lukoil" and "Chepetsknefteproduct" gas stations have introduced restrictions on the volumes of fuel dispensed. Sandalov noted that "Chepetsknefteproduct," unlike "Lukoil," is currently operating at full capacity. "We expect the situation to normalize within this week, unless it worsens with new attacks," Sandalov stated. After the report, Sokolov asked residents of the region to endure a little longer and instructed daily monitoring of the fuel situation. Gasoline is already being sold at a lower environmental class Amid the shortage in the Kirov region, other measures have also been taken. Since August 26, gas stations in the "Dvizhenie" network have started selling AI-92 gasoline of environmental class 3. The sale of such fuel became possible after the Russian government decided to temporarily allow the production, import, and sale of gasoline of environmental classes K2, K3, and K4. This measure is in effect until July 1, 2027, and is explained by the need to ensure stable fuel supplies to the domestic market. At the same time, gas stations must inform motorists about the environmental class of the gasoline being sold. Drivers report new queues at gas stations.
