Boris Vesnin evaluated the results of the summer repairs in schools in Kirov.

      At school No. 56, an additional building on Dzerzhinsky Street requires major repairs, which the institution was allocated due to high occupancy. Project and estimate documentation is currently being developed.

      School No. 18 also needs major repairs. A request for budget funding is currently being prepared. The institution is one of the largest in the city. The school has a museum, actively develops the youth army movement, and about 30 teachers are its graduates.

      At school No. 53, facade repairs are nearing completion. Following a June visit, over 9 million rubles were allocated for these purposes by order of Governor Alexander Sokolov. Additionally, current repairs have been carried out: the entrance group has been updated, the roof of the vestibule and the steps of the emergency exit have been repaired, elements of the gymnasium and window slopes have been renewed.

      "I would like to highlight the patriotic work of the school. In May of last year, the 'Victory Lilac' event took place here: students together with their parents planted lilac bushes. We contributed to the improvement of this memorial area," said Boris Vesnin.

      At the Alexander Grin Gymnasium, one of the largest complexes of work has been completed — amounting to over 30 million rubles. The facade and roof, sports halls, interior rooms have been renovated, the educational base has been updated, and the territory has been asphalted. Work continues at the stadium.

      School No. 9 is one of the key schools for the riverbank part of Kirov, with more than 2,000 children studying here. However, there has been no major repair in the building since its construction — about 40 years ago.

      This year, the school has entered the major repair program. More than 50 million rubles have been allocated for the renovation. The most important work has already been completed: the roof and facade have been repaired, windows and doors of emergency exits have been replaced, rooms on three floors have been updated, and the foyer, staircases, and porch have been put in order. An additional 9 million rubles have been allocated for equipping classrooms.

      "In June, we discussed the necessary work with school leaders. Today, it is important to check the results — not only the timelines but also the quality. Where there are comments, contractors must address them. And issues that require more serious solutions will be resolved step by step together with regional and city authorities," noted Boris Vesnin.
