Today, August 25, Kirov's "Dynamo" played a match in the third round of the Regional Path of the Russian Cup for the 2026-2027 season. The opponent was Perm's "Amkar."
Matches between geographical neighbors are traditionally considered the most "heated." Last season, the teams exchanged away victories in the championship, and now the spectators witnessed a goal feast. Today, before the break, both teams scored a goal, and both times it was from a penalty. In the second half, a downpour began. As a rule, it forces players to act more cautiously and not take unnecessary risks, which would have been more than appropriate in the case of the artificial turf at the VyatSSHOR stadium.
But, strangely enough, the teams decided to ignore the weather conditions and play open football. The result was 4:4 after regular time. Moreover, each time "Dynamo" took the lead, but the opponent equalized the score.
Everything was decided in the penalty shootout, where "Dynamo" proved to be luckier. In the next round, our team will face the club "KamAZ" from Naberezhnye Chelny.
It should be noted that earlier the Dynamo players advanced in the Russian Cup by defeating their local rivals from "Fankom."
