Only half of the residents of Kirov are satisfied with their housing.
Comprehensive monitoring is conducted by Rosstat every two years in all regions of Russia. In September 2026, the survey will take place for the eighth time.
According to the results of the 2024 survey, 57.2% of the surveyed households rated the condition of their living space as excellent or good. In comparison, in 2020, 40.8% of households responded this way. The share of those who consider the condition of housing to be poor or very poor decreased during this same period from 9.5% to 3.4%.
At the same time, residents still have complaints about living conditions. Among the problems faced by households, Kirovstat mentions noise, air pollution, dust and soot from the street, including from transport, enterprises, and shops, poor lighting of approaches to the house or in the entrance, lack of heat, and other shortcomings.
However, 74.1% of households did not indicate any of the listed shortcomings.
Statisticians also assessed the condition of the areas around apartment buildings. In 2024, 48.9% of surveyed households noted the presence of equipped playgrounds, and 49.2% noted parking spaces. Containers for general waste collection were indicated in 79.7% of cases.
At the same time, the share of yards with sports infrastructure has noticeably increased. If in 2020 sports grounds and facilities for sports activities for children and adults were present in 15.2% of yards, by 2024 this figure had risen to 27.4%.
Even more significantly, the share of adjacent territories equipped with a security system increased from 5.2% in 2020 to 31.2% in 2024.
