The head of Yaran has submitted a resignation letter.
At a government meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov announced that on Friday, August 21, the head of Yaran, Vladimir Zhirov, submitted his resignation. On the same day, the city Duma approved his departure from office. Earlier, Sokolov criticized Zhirov for his "indifference" in communicating with local residents and for his dismissive responses.
The governor also announced that the former head of the local branch of Rostelecom, Sergey Nikitin, has temporarily taken over as acting head of Yaran. Sokolov added that he is a local person who cares about his homeland and wished him success in his work.
