      Since August 2026, the timeline for veterans of combat operations with disabilities to change the format of receiving the social services package (SSP) has been reduced, as reported by the regional government. Currently, more than 28,000 residents of the region receive this support. According to existing regulations, all veterans initially receive this support in the form of a monetary compensation. Later, if a disability is established, they can apply to change the format of receiving the package to a natural one (a range of benefits and services). So far, 3,950 veterans have chosen this option. Previously, they had to wait for the start of the next calendar year, but now the Branch of the Pension Fund in Kirov region will provide the service within one month. The social services package is provided to recipients of a monthly cash payment (MCP) and, when received in a natural form, includes prescription medications, medical products, vouchers for sanatorium and resort treatment, and free travel to and from the treatment location. Applications with a discharge mark can be submitted via the public services portal, at the client service of the Branch of the Pension Fund in Kirov region, or at the MFC.
