In the Svechinsky district, hundreds of goats are dying from hunger.
Recently, veterinarians visited the "Oktyabrskoye" farm in the Svechinsky district to vaccinate animals. They were met with a shocking sight — about 400 emaciated goats, dying of hunger. Judging by the photos taken by the specialists, only skin and bones remained of what were once well-fed bodies. One look at them resembles a Nazi concentration camp, but for four-legged prisoners. We do not publish photos of the animals, as this may shock many readers.
It should be noted that according to data from open sources, bankruptcy proceedings have been initiated against LLC "Oktyabrskoye," with a bankruptcy manager appointed at the beginning of 2026. The enterprise, which specialized in breeding sheep and goats, operated for almost 20 years. Recently, its situation has been dire: the staff was rapidly reduced, and the company ended 2024 and 2025 with losses. A total of 41 enforcement proceedings have been initiated against it, mainly for fines and collections. As of July 1, 2026, the tax debt reached 971 thousand rubles.
The bankruptcy manager of LLC "Oktyabrskoye" is Elena Kuchumova. In a conversation with a journalist from Newsler.ru, she confirmed this and stated that information about the organization's bankruptcy can be found in open sources. When asked if she believed it would be possible to sell the company's assets and what the plans for the near future were, Kuchumova replied that there were many matters to address, and as soon as all the complex issues were resolved (which is expected to happen around mid-September), she would be able to provide more detailed information about what is happening.
It is also worth noting that, according to our sources, the company's assets were previously sought to be purchased in Yoshkar-Ola. However, the farm did not have the necessary documents required in Mari El. It turned out that veterinary stations in different regions have different requirements.
Earlier, we reported on a similar story in the Malmyzhsky district. In mid-December 2022, it became known about the cruel treatment of animals at the agricultural firm JSC "Kalinin," which was also declared bankrupt. It was established that 878 cows and 48 horses suffered from hunger and thirst. About 120 individuals died.
