Is Yaran's leadership about to change?
Today, August 18, Governor Alexander Sokolov published a post about his trip to Yaran. According to him, local residents have accumulated quite a few complaints: in particular, about lighting, overgrown grass, the condition of roads and sidewalks, and much more. The head of the region also noted that "there is a complete lack of improvement," and there are no new projects. A waterfront was previously constructed, but it has still not been handed over, and the authorities are forced to sue the contractor, while the area continues to become overgrown. In addition, the Victory Park and the Shamsurenkov Park have been improved, but their maintenance is not organized. The governor also criticized the position of Yaran's head, Vladimir Zhirov, who, according to him, in response to citizens' complaints, refers to the municipality's lack of extra funds. "This is not a working position," Sokolov expressed his opinion. "A person in such a position should solve issues, not shift responsibility. I believe that such an indifferent leader has no moral right to head the city."
