In the Uninsky District of the Kirov Region, a 45-year-old local resident was convicted for once again getting behind the wheel while intoxicated. The man had previously been held criminally liable for a similar offense.
As established by the court, on the morning of October 16, 2025, the man was driving a VAZ-2112 and was traveling on the roads of the village of Uni. He was stopped by police officers.
During the check, it was revealed that the driver had previously been convicted for driving under the influence. Additionally, he had been deprived of his right to drive a vehicle.
The court found the man guilty and sentenced him to 1 year and 10 months of imprisonment. He will serve his sentence in a strict regime correctional colony. Furthermore, he was deprived of the right to operate vehicles for two years and eight months.
The convicted man and his defense attorney attempted to appeal the verdict; however, the Kirov Regional Court upheld it without changes. The man proceeded to the place of serving his sentence under escort.
