      In autumn 2023, the administration of the Yaran district issued a decree to lease agricultural land plots to the head of the peasant farm (PF) without conducting auctions for a period of 49 years. After that, a corresponding contract was concluded.

      However, the prosecutor's office decided that the contract was concluded in violation of the law. As a result, a representative of the agency appealed to the Arbitration Court of the Kirov region, demanding that it be declared invalid and that the head of the PF return the land to the municipality.

      The court of first instance concluded that the contract was concluded for too long a term, while the legislation allows such plots to be leased for a maximum of five years. As a result, it granted the claim.

      Officials attempted to appeal the decision. The Second Arbitration Appeal Court, having considered the appeal, left it unsatisfied.
