The main point of the working trip was the construction site of the future swimming pool. The need for construction has been discussed for many years. The implementation of the project began thanks to the support of the regional head Alexander Sokolov. Since the start of the work, Boris Vesnin has been regularly monitoring the progress of the construction. The opening of the pool, covering an area of 4,700 square meters, is scheduled for next year.
The company "URALCHEM" has been supporting the development of swimming and sports infrastructure in the Kirov region for many years, including in Slobodskoy.
"It is important not only to build a modern pool but also to think in advance about how to make the most effective use of its capabilities after opening. The participation of Evgeny Rylov allowed us to discuss these issues from a professional perspective: what programs can be launched, how to organize the training process, and create opportunities for children and adults to engage," emphasized Boris Vesnin.
Boris Vesnin and Evgeny Rylov also visited other sports facilities – the "Trud" stadium, which is undergoing major renovations, the "Forward" ice arena, and the "Red Anchor" sports complex. The sports facilities are popular among residents – there are sections for children, and tournaments and competitions are held here.
During the trip, Boris Vesnin and Evgeny Rylov met with coaches and athletes from Slobodskoy – the prospects for the development of sports and infrastructure in the city were discussed. As Boris Vesnin noted, the residents of Slobodskoy have much to be proud of; it is important not to stop at what has been achieved and to continue working to provide even more opportunities for children and adults to engage.
