In Kotel'nich, a family with disabled members has been living without water for more than six months.

      In house No. 27 on Fedoseva Street in Kotel'nich, there has been no cold water in three apartments since December 2025. The reason is a leak in a municipal non-residential apartment, where the windows have been broken and the plumbing has frozen. After the thaw, the pipe burst.

      One of the affected apartments is residential. A disabled woman with two children lives there, one of whom is also disabled. For eight months, they have been unable to take a shower or wash their clothes. Almost every day, the family walks a kilometer to collect water from acquaintances for household needs. They carry eight bottles at a time. They are forced to buy water for drinking and cooking.

      As the woman told the People's Front, she has contacted all authorities but has not received any help. The Kotel'nich administration explains that the non-residential apartment has a tenant who is supposed to fix the leak, but he has not appeared for a long time. The authorities promise to compel him to repair the pipe through the court, but time is passing, and the water has still not appeared in the house.

      The woman sought help from the People's Front. Public activists believe that in eight months, the administration could have taken measures to terminate the social rental agreement with the "ghost" tenant and repair the pipe themselves. The People's Front has sent a request to the prosecutor's office regarding this matter.
