Kirovstat: over the past six months, buses have transported nearly 45 million passengers.
In the first half of 2026, the Kirov region's road transport carried 44.6 million passengers. This is 3.4% more than in the same period last year. Such data was published in the Kirovstat report on the main socio-economic indicators of the region.
According to statisticians, 4.1 million tons of cargo were also transported from January to June. Compared to the first half of 2025, the volume of cargo transportation increased by 6.7%.
The passenger turnover of road transport in June amounted to 51.1 million passenger-kilometers. This is slightly lower than the May figure (53.3 million passenger-kilometers), but significantly higher than at the beginning of the year: in January, the passenger turnover was 42.9 million passenger-kilometers.
The cargo turnover in June reached 99.6 million ton-kilometers — the highest figure since June of last year. For comparison, in January it was 64.7 million ton-kilometers, and in May — 85.7 million ton-kilometers.
