According to the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region, the tragedy occurred on August 1 in the village of Kuknur. Preliminary data indicates that a 40-year-old man drowned while swimming.
In connection with the incident, the Yaran inter-district investigative department has initiated a procedural check. The investigator has already examined the scene of the incident, and other verification activities are currently being conducted to establish all the circumstances of what happened. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the check.
The regional Investigative Committee once again reminded residents of the need to observe safety measures at water bodies. Residents of Kirov are urged to swim only in designated areas, not to enter the water while under the influence of alcohol, and to always use life-saving equipment when using boats.
