On the evening of August 2, the Earth will be hit by a magnetic storm.
According to specialists, a medium-sized cloud of solar plasma is approaching Earth. Although the main ejection is directed slightly away from the planet, calculations show that its edge is highly likely to affect Earth. It is noted that the probability of a magnetic storm this time is higher than usual. This is confirmed by observations from coronagraphs as well as a small radiation storm recorded on the night of July 30 to 31, caused by a flow of high-energy protons. Typically, a front of plasma ejection follows such particles to Earth. The cause of the ejection was an M1.9 class solar flare that occurred on the evening of July 30. During the event, X-ray radiation monitors malfunctioned for several hours, but later the data was restored, as reported by the "Laboratory of Solar Astronomy (XRAS)" channel. If the forecast is confirmed, this will be the first magnetic storm of August. Specialists recommend that weather-sensitive individuals avoid serious physical exertion if possible, maintain a sleep schedule, and pay closer attention to their well-being.
