Yesterday, July 31, the fire and rescue units of the Kirov region extinguished two man-made fires and responded eight times to road traffic accidents and other emergency situations. One of the fires occurred in Kirovo-Chepetsk on Pobedy Street. The fire broke out in an apartment of a residential building. The flames damaged the walls and ceiling over an area of 16 square meters. Fourteen employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and six units of equipment were working at the scene. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was a malfunction of electrical equipment. The regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also reported that over the course of the day, the units responded to eight traffic accidents and other incidents that required the assistance of rescuers.
