Passengers of the "Vyatka" collected 85 kilograms of plastic.
In the first half of 2026, passengers of the branded train No. 31/32 "Vyatka" collected 85 kilograms of plastic caps. This is 7.6% more than in the same period last year.
The collection is part of the all-Russian ecological and charitable project "Kind Caps," which the train joined in 2024. For this purpose, special containers and bins for separate waste collection have been installed in the carriages.
The funds raised from recycling the collected plastic are directed to the charitable foundation "Volunteers to Help Orphaned Children." The project helps draw attention to issues of medical and rehabilitation support for foster children with disabilities, as well as promotes separate waste collection.
The Gorky Railway noted that Russian Railways has been developing environmental initiatives for several years. Containers for separate waste collection, as well as special containers for batteries and plastic caps, are being installed at stations and on trains.
