Destructive squalls are expected in the Kirov region, and tornadoes are possible.

      According to the Telegram channel "Amateur Meteorology in Kirov," on July 26, a potentially dangerous situation is expected in the Kirov region, associated with destructive convective squalls and possible tornado outbreaks.

      The eastern half of the Kirov region, as well as the northwestern half of the region, falls into the zone of increased risk. Here, widespread destructive squalls of up to 30 m/s are forecasted, with local gusts possibly exceeding 30 m/s. Hail of up to 7 cm is expected. In addition, there is a moderate probability of tornado formation.

      In the zone of minor risk is the entire Kirov region. Here, squalls of up to 25 m/s are possible, with hail of up to 5 cm in some areas. In the northern half of the region, the probability of tornado formation remains from low to moderate.

      In the zones of acceptable risk in the Volga Federal District, widespread squalls of up to 23 m/s and hail of up to 3 cm are also expected.

      Meteorologists urge residents to be cautious, to refrain from traveling if possible, and to seek shelter in case of worsening weather.
