Residents of the village of Shutovshchina had their water charges recalculated after a prosecutor's inspection.

      The Kirovo-Chepetsk city prosecutor's office checked the information about the violation of the rights of residents of the village of Shutovshchina, which had previously appeared in the media and on the Internet.

      The inspection revealed that problems with water quality arose after the main pump, which supplies water to the centralized system, broke down. The use of backup sources did not ensure compliance with sanitary requirements and hygiene standards.

      The prosecutor's office submitted a proposal to the director of the servicing company. After its consideration, residents were given a recalculation of the payment for inadequate provision of utility services totaling 14 thousand rubles.

      In addition, an engineer of the housing and communal services enterprise, found guilty of violations, was subjected to disciplinary action. The head of the resource supply organization was fined 5 thousand rubles for violating the standards for providing the population with utility services.

      The prosecutor's office also reported that the issue of a possible appeal to the court to protect the rights of residents who cannot independently defend their interests due to health, age, or other valid reasons will be decided after the completion of all expert studies.

      Currently, the normative water supply to residential houses in the village of Shutovshchina has been restored.
