The employees of the Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov Region have completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 40-year-old resident of Kirov. The man is accused of giving a commercial bribe in a large and especially large amount.
According to the investigation, the Kirov resident acted in the interests of an individual entrepreneur. Over the course of 2025, he twice handed over money to an employee of one of the timber processing enterprises in the region.
It is assumed that the reward was intended to assist the entrepreneur in concluding contracts related to forest resources. The total amount of money transferred was 330,000 rubles.
The police identified and suppressed the man's illegal activities at the beginning of 2026. The investigation of the criminal case received operational support from the employees of the Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Department.
The Investigative Committee investigated the criminal case. After the indictment was approved by the prosecutor's office, the materials were sent to court.
Earlier, it was reported that the investigation of the case against a 49-year-old resident of Kirov, who is accused of receiving this commercial bribe, had been completed.
