Today in Kotel'nich, a significant event took place — the first pile of the foundation was driven at the site of the future school for 461 students. This marks the official start of the active construction phase.
The contractor is the Kirov company "Rost," which has already begun work. The foundation of the building will consist of 1,442 piles, and more than 2,000 cubic meters of concrete will be used for the foundation. All preparatory and earthworks have already been completed, and now the team is focused on pile driving, reinforcement, and pouring.
The path to this moment has not been easy: the previous contractor, the company "Assa," failed to meet its obligations, and the contract with them was terminated back in January 2025. However, with the arrival of "Rost," progress has been made. In April 2026, the company received a positive conclusion from the state expert examination on engineering surveys, and in June — a construction permit.
The Governor of the Kirov Region, Alexander Sokolov, expressed confidence that the facility will be completed on time — so that by autumn 2027, students will already be sitting at their desks.
