According to Rosstat, from January to May 2026, the Kirov region was visited by 166,033 tourists, including 1,173 foreigners. In terms of the first indicator, the region ranks ninth in the Volga Federal District, while for the second, it ranks last, despite both indicators having slightly increased over the year (in January-May 2025, there were 163,743 and 1,014 tourists, respectively).
The total number of overnight stays in Kirov hotels and other accommodation facilities amounted to 511,862. This figure has significantly decreased over the year — in January-May 2025, there were 519,675 overnight stays.
Earlier, Rosstat reported that the volume of paid services provided by Kirov hotels from January to May 2026 reached 671.7 million rubles, increasing by 3.2% over the year. Comparing May 2026 to May 2025 shows a growth of 5.2%, while comparing it to April 2026 shows a decline of 2.1%.
