In the Kirov region, state fuel procurement is being disrupted.

      Recently, "Izvestia" reported that the fuel shortage in the market has begun to disrupt government procurement in the regions. According to the publication, it is currently unprofitable for suppliers to sell fuel under government contracts, as a significant amount of time passes from the determination of the price to the selection of the supplier, during which the product becomes more expensive. As a result, often no one applies for the tenders.

      We decided to find out how things stand in the Kirov region. It turned out that there are quite a few disrupted tenders on the government procurement website, announced by our state or municipal organizations and agencies.

      For example, in the last month (the second half of June - the expired period of July 2026), there were tenders for the purchase of gasoline, diesel, or fuel and lubricants marked "No applications submitted," announced by the following customers: the regional fire and rescue service, the regional hospital, the ambulance station in Kirov, hospitals in Kirs, Tuja, and Malmyzh, the administrations of Kirov, Omutninsk, Yaran, Sanchursk, and Arbazh districts, the monitoring and natural resource management center, the regional court, the "Lesnaya Skazka" sanatorium, the civil defense management of Kirovo-Chepetsk, colony No. 1, the regional animal disease control station, similar stations in Urzhum and Nolin, and the wildlife protection and use center. And this is far from the entire list.

      Of course, there are also tenders for which someone applies. However, as a rule, there is only one participant, with whom the customer has to conclude a contract. And there seem to be not so many of them.

      Things are more or less better for organizations that purchase fuel and lubricants from a single supplier, that is, without a tender. For example, "KPAT" operates this way. In the records of its latest purchases, there is information about successfully concluded contracts.
