An orphaned moose calf from the Vyatka region has been sent to a "resort" in Kostroma.
The operation to rescue a young moose took place in the territory of the Uninsky municipal district. The reason for the intervention was the appearance of the calf near human habitation—a behavior that the agency regarded as a signal of alarm.
As explained by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kirov Region, the decision to transport was made after inspecting the site of discovery. No adult individuals were recorded near the calf. Apparently, it had lost its parents and was left without their protection. Leaving it alone in the forest was deemed dangerous for the animal's life by specialists.
The transportation was organized with all safety requirements in mind: agency staff planned the route and conditions of transport to minimize stress for the calf.
Currently, the animal has been placed under round-the-clock observation by veterinarians and zoologists at the Sumarokovo moose farm, located in the Kostroma region. Specialists are now assessing its physical condition. After completing the mandatory quarantine and finishing the adaptation period, they plan to introduce the orphaned ward to the main herd of the farm.

A moose calf found in the Uninsky district was not left alone in the wild. Specialists from the regional Ministry of Natural Resources evacuated the animal, which approached people and, presumably, lost its parents. Now the calf awaits adaptation in a specialized facility in the neighboring region.
