In the off-season, "Olimpia," competing in the championship of the All-Russian Hockey League (the second strongest tournament after the KHL), continues to delight with its acquisitions. The latest newcomer is Ivan Kovalev.
The experienced 28-year-old defender is a product of Yaroslavl hockey. He is a two-time MHL champion (with "Loko"), a holder of the World Cup among youth club teams (with the same team), and a national champion among juniors ("Loko-Junior"). In addition, Kovalev has played in the KHL for "Lokomotiv" and "Neftekhimik."
In the past season, the hockey player played for HC "Norilsk." In 30 matches, he recorded ten assists.
