The Kirov region has approached 105 thousand: the Ministry of Construction has increased the standard cost of housing.
The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation has approved new indicators for the average market cost of one square meter of housing for the regions of the country for the third quarter of 2026.
For the Kirov region, the cost of one "square" is set at 104,443 rubles. In the second quarter, the indicator was 96,465 rubles, thus the increase reached 7,978 rubles, or about 8.3%.
At the same time, the Ministry of Construction also raised the federal standard for housing costs. In the second half of 2026, it will amount to 123,700 rubles instead of the previous 116,427 rubles. The increase was 6.2%.
Overall, across the country, the cost per square meter increased in 71 regions, decreased in 13, and remained unchanged in St. Petersburg, as reported on the website of the Unified Resource for Developers.
The highest growth was recorded in the Jewish Autonomous Region (+53.4%), North Ossetia — Alania (+20.3%), Moscow Region (+18.7%), and Sakhalin Region (+18.3%). The most noticeable decline occurred in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (-36.3%), Krasnodar Krai (-8.6%), and Karachay-Cherkessia (-5.7%).
In the Volga Federal District, the Kirov region remains in the middle of the ranking. The highest indicators are set in Tatarstan — 170,477 rubles per square meter and Nizhny Novgorod Region — 150,727 rubles. The Kirov standard is also surpassed by Perm Krai (139,464 rubles), Bashkortostan (117,256 rubles), Udmurtia (114,571 rubles), Samara Region (112,996 rubles), and Chuvashia (106,928 rubles).
At the same time, the cost per square meter in the Kirov region is higher than in Ulyanovsk Region (103,800 rubles), Mordovia (99,290 rubles), Saratov Region (95,963 rubles), Mari El (95,458 rubles), Orenburg Region (91,859 rubles), and Penza Region (91,003 rubles).
The most expensive region in Russia in terms of normative housing cost is again Moscow, where one square meter is valued at 221,381 rubles. Following are Moscow Region (208,016 rubles), Sakhalin Region (194,486 rubles), Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (193,482 rubles), the Republic of Altai (183,317 rubles), and Primorsky Krai (182,527 rubles).
The lowest standards are set in Ingushetia — 61,190 rubles per square meter, Tambov Region — 76,801 rubles, Dagestan — 78,651 rubles, Oryol Region — 82,357 rubles, Pskov Region — 84,459 rubles, and Kabardino-Balkaria — 84,540 rubles.
The new indicators will be used in calculating social payments for housing purchases, as well as in the implementation of certain state housing programs.
