"Ran" in Kirov: police detained a drug dealer disguised as an athlete.
In Kirov, employees of the drug control department detained a 28-year-old native of Izhevsk, who is suspected of distributing prohibited substances through stash spots. To avoid raising suspicion, the man moved around the city posing as a track and field athlete.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov region, the suspect had previously responded to an online offer for "easy money." At the direction of his handlers, he came to Kirov, rented an apartment, and began distributing pre-packaged doses of drugs.
The man equipped stash spots on the streets, in parks, and recreational areas of the regional center. He transmitted the coordinates of the stashes to his "employers." At the same time, according to the police, the detained individual did not use drugs himself.
During the arrest, police seized about 100 packages of synthetic drugs weighing a total of 143 grams from the suspect, as well as from the stash spots he had already prepared. Additionally, operatives found a wholesale stash that the man had not yet managed to collect, which contained about 50 grams of the narcotic substance, also packaged for further sale.
A criminal case has been initiated against the man under Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal sale of narcotic substances in large quantities"). Investigators are currently establishing other episodes of his criminal activity, as well as possible accomplices.
