Russia will start importing fuel from July.
Russia will start importing fuel from other countries in July. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, reports RIA Novosti.
According to Novak, import supplies of petroleum products will begin in July, and production of fuel with a lower environmental class will also be increased. The government has also reached an agreement with Russian Railways on discounts for railway tariffs to create economic conditions for fuel imports.
Recall that this summer, Russia is experiencing disruptions in fuel supplies due to changes in logistics. The government has already taken a number of measures: it has banned gasoline exports, introduced tax incentives for imports and increased production. At the same time, the Federal Air Transport Agency assured that airports are supplied with fuel in the necessary volume.
The day before, Novak described the situation in the domestic fuel market as tense. According to him, this is due to the traditional summer increase in demand and unscheduled repairs at oil refineries.
Authorities are considering additional measures to saturate the market, with special attention planned for ensuring fuel supply to the Irkutsk region, Transbaikal Territory, and southern regions, where active agricultural work is currently underway.
In Kirov, most Lukoil gas stations were closed the day before, and at the only operating gas station, the queue reached 40 minutes, while at "Dvizhenie" and "Irbis," cars were standing on the roadway.
