Sokolov proposed to ban the wholesale sale of fuel to companies without gas stations.
During a recent "fuel" operational headquarters meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov noted that the cost of fuel for companies with their own oil refineries differs significantly from that of firms without them. According to him, the same "Movement" purchases fuel on the exchange, where the price is almost twice as high compared to that of "Lukoil." This forces gas station prices to rise. Sokolov asked supervisory authorities to conduct a price check and take possible measures to regulate them.
The governor also stated that he is ready to propose to the government commission on stabilizing the fuel market, led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, to ban wholesale fuel sales to companies that do not own gas stations at the national level. This will shorten the fuel logistics chain and eliminate all intermediaries from it.
