Industrial production in the Kirov region fell by almost 6%.
The new report from Kirovstat provides data on the socio-economic situation in the region. If we take the industrial production index, it showed growth in January-May 2026, which our officials recently reported — +4.9%. However, when comparing May 2026 to May 2025, there is a decline of 3.4%, and compared to April 2026, there is a decline of 5.8%.
Over the year (if we compare the first five months of 2025 with the same period in 2026), the production index has decreased in sectors such as mining, clothing production, leather goods, wood and cork products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, rubber and plastics, mineral products, electrical equipment, various machines, furniture, etc. Growth is observed in the production of food and beverages, textiles, paper, metal products, computers, and other areas.
