In the Kirov region, vegetables and eggs became cheaper over the month, but gasoline and sugar became more expensive.

      In the past month, prices for food products have decreased the most — on average by 0.7%. The biggest drop was in fruit and vegetable products, including potatoes, which fell by 6.7%. The cost of chicken eggs also significantly decreased — by 12.1%. At the same time, prices for sugar (+3.9%), jams, preserves, honey (+1.2%), flour (+1%), bread, and bakery products (+0.8%) increased.

      Non-food products rose in price by an average of 0.2% in May. Among the most notable changes was the increase in prices for motor fuel by 1.2%, including automotive gasoline by 1.1%. Meanwhile, prices for electrical goods, radio and television products, and passenger cars slightly decreased.

      Services increased in price by an average of 1.2% over the month. The most significant rise was in the cost of passenger transport services — by 2.7%, foreign tourism — by 1.9%, and cultural organizations — by 1.1%. Excursion services within Russia saw a particularly noticeable increase — by 25.3%.

      According to statisticians, in May, the cost of a fixed set of consumer goods and services in the Kirov region averaged 24,090 rubles, increasing by 0.2% over the month. The minimum set of food products rose in price by 0.9% — to 6,801 rubles.
