A contractor has been selected for the improvement of the 50th Anniversary of the VLKSM Park.

      In Kirov, a contractor has been selected to carry out the improvement of the area near the Palace of Creativity — the Memorial. Following the competitive procedures, a contract was signed on July 3, 2026, with LLC "AVEN-NORTH." The contract price is 370,945,800 rubles. All work is planned to be completed by October 31, 2027.

      The project provides for a comprehensive update of the park. New pedestrian paths, recreation areas, and small architectural forms will be created here. The park promises a rope town, an amphitheater, a dry fountain, workout areas, basketball and volleyball courts, as well as scientific playgrounds — "Electric Labyrinth," "Electric Circuit," and "Morse Code." Play complexes will be installed for children, and for cyclists — parking and a repair station. The park will also feature a coworking space, an outdoor library, a stage, and for relaxation — hammocks and sun loungers.

      It is worth noting that the history of this project was accompanied by a scandal. In May 2026, over 375.9 million rubles were allocated for the park's improvement. However, the procurement worth nearly 376 million rubles was suspended after a complaint from the Ufa construction company LLC SK "Sodeystvie." The applicants saw controversial provisions in the competition conditions: the customer required participants to have experience in road construction, which, according to the Ufa representatives, created an advantage for road contractors and limited the participation of specialized landscaping companies.

      The Kirov OFAS partially satisfied the complaint and ordered the exclusion of the requirement for participants to have experience in road construction from the documentation. The competition was held again, and now the contractor has been determined.
