The housing construction in the Kirov region has decreased by 35%.
According to Kirovstat, from January to May 2026, the volume of work completed in the construction sector amounted to 16.2 billion rubles. This is 67.9% compared to the same period of the previous year. Thus, the indicator fell by 32.1%.
Experts also report that from January to May 2026, 1,096 apartments with a total area of 122.7 thousand square meters were put into operation in the region. This is 64.8% in relation to the same period in 2025, with a decline of 35.2%.
Among all housing, 1,027 houses were built by local residents. Their total area is 117.5 thousand square meters or 77% compared to last year. The indicator decreased by 23%.
