The bell of memory and prayer: the Theodorov Church has found its voice

      A bell was brought to the territory of the future church. Before its installation, a prayer service was held. Prayers for the salvation of the Fatherland, for Orthodox Christians, for fallen soldiers, and for all departed loved ones sounded in the open air. The rector of the Theodorovskaya Church, Priest Vitaly Lapshin, called this event especially important for the parish.

      — Today we prayed that the Lord would bless this bell, that it would adorn our city, adorn our temple, proclaim to the whole world the beginning of prayer in this temple, and instill in people hope for the salvation of their souls, — said the priest.

      According to him, the ringing of the bell is not just a sound.

      It is a call to prayer, a reminder of God, and an opportunity to pause for a moment amidst the daily hustle and turn to what is most important.

      — Hearing the bell, we know that prayer begins in this place. Even if we cannot come to the temple, we can raise a prayer for our loved ones, for ourselves, for the salvation of the whole world in our souls, in our homes, — noted Father Vitaly.

      The special significance of today's event was given by the story of the person thanks to whom this bell appeared. It was gifted by Valentina — the mother of a fallen participant in the special military operation. She spoke softly, calmly, without anguish. Not about pain — although the pain in her story is heard between the lines. Rather about faith, memory, and that love is stronger than time.

      Her son Andrey went to the front in 2023. After a few months, communication with him was lost.

      For many months, the family lived between hope and uncertainty. They prayed, searched, sent requests, and passed memorial notes to churches across the country and even to Jerusalem.

      Later came the news: Andrey was found through DNA.

      But even through this terrible ordeal, Valentina managed to preserve an amazing inner strength.

      Now the memory of her son will live not only in the heart of the mother and in the prayers of loved ones but also in the voice of the bell.

      Father Vitaly separately thanked Valentina and other mothers of fallen soldiers who participated in this endeavor.

      — First of all, these are the mothers of our fallen guys. In memory of our deceased warriors, prayers will be offered in this temple, in this holy place, for ages to come. And, of course, in our hearts, in our prayers, — he said.

      The construction of the temple continues.

      There is still much work to be done. At the site where the temple will rise, the construction company "ROST" has already prepared the future foundation of the church.

      In construction, this layer is called technical; however, it is precisely from it that the reliability of the entire structure depends for decades to come.

      But today it became clear: the church is already alive. Because the temple does not begin with walls. The temple begins with prayer, memory, faith, and hope.

      And now the Theodorovskaya Church has its own voice — a voice that will one day sound over the city, reminding of what is most important.
