The deputy noted that about 30% of refinery capacities have been taken out of operation, and in this regard, additional response measures may be required.
"Why won't the responsible deputy prime minister honestly say that almost a third of the refineries are out of order, and why are neither he nor other relevant deputy prime ministers and ministers planning to introduce emergency measures in this regard?" — Ostanina wrote on her Telegram channel.
She emphasized that ignoring problems and the unwillingness to solve them is dangerous for the country's future. The deputy also pointed out that in the run-up to the harvest, both the Minister of Agriculture and the deputy prime minister overseeing it are silent.
"After all, the country could be left without bread, which in the context of international sanctions is akin to a death sentence," — Ostanina added.
According to her, taxi drivers are already starting to save fuel even on air conditioning, otherwise, with current prices, they will be working at zero or in the red.
Earlier, we reported that President Vladimir Putin described the fuel situation as "not critical," noting that gasoline reserves amount to 1.7 million tons, and all damaged facilities are being quickly restored.
At the same time, the Kremlin does not rule out the possibility of fuel imports — according to Dmitry Peskov, Russia is negotiating with several foreign countries for additional supplies. The government is also considering the option of temporarily returning fuel standards "Euro-2," "Euro-3," and "Euro-4" until July 2027 — this will allow for an increase in supply in the domestic market by using crude oil without deep processing.
