The cost of the minimum set of products has increased in Russia.
The minimum grocery basket in Russia has increased by 3.99% since the beginning of 2026. This is reported by TASS, citing the association "Rusprodsoyuz." The calculation includes 33 essential food items — meat, fish, dairy products, eggs, bread, cereals, sugar, vegetables, and fruits.
According to experts, prices vary significantly depending on the region. The most expensive basket is recorded in Chukotka — about 20.5 thousand rubles per month, as well as in Kamchatka — approximately 13.4 thousand rubles.
The lowest figures are noted in Mordovia — about 6.2 thousand rubles and in the Saratov region — approximately 6.4 thousand rubles.
In Moscow, the cost of the set is about 9.2 thousand rubles, in St. Petersburg — around 9 thousand rubles. In the Moscow region — 8.6 thousand rubles, in Leningrad region — 8.7 thousand rubles. In the Kaliningrad region, the grocery basket costs about 9 thousand rubles, in Tatarstan — 6.7 thousand rubles, in the Omsk region — 6.6 thousand rubles, in the Khabarovsk region — more than 10 thousand rubles.
