The residents of the village of Bakuli are forced to take a taxi to see doctors.
Residents of the village of Bakuli in the Slobodsky district have complained about transportation isolation. The settlement is only six kilometers from Slobodsky, but getting there without a personal vehicle is extremely difficult.
More than 100 people live in Bakuli, mostly retirees. There are no pharmacies, stores, or social institutions in the village, so people regularly have to travel to the district center for groceries, medicines, and doctor appointments.
According to local residents, a taxi ride to Slobodsky costs about 600 rubles round trip. For many retirees, this is a significant expense. If they cannot afford a taxi, people walk.
Moreover, the route is unsafe: they have to cross railway tracks along unlit paths or walk along a busy highway on the shoulder.
At the same time, the village of Shchukovo is very close by, where buses already go. To reach Bakuli, the route would only need to be extended by 900 meters.
Residents are asking for at least a few bus trips a week — in the morning and evening. They say that not only the villagers could use the transport, but also employees of the local enterprise.
People have turned to the People's Front with a request to solve the problem. Public activists have already sent an appeal to the administration of the Slobodsky district.
