Pamfilova promised a "strong barrier" against provocations during the State Duma elections.
The chairwoman of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, stated that the commission is systematically preparing for possible provocations and sabotage during the autumn elections to the State Duma. According to her, Russia's "enemies" are preparing seriously — both from outside and inside the country, using special anti-Russian methods to disrupt voting. In response to this, as emphasized by the head of the CEC, a "powerful barrier" will be established, reports the newspaper "Kommersant."
At the same time, the CEC reported on the international track: invitations for election observation have been sent to 103 countries and 12 international organizations. A positive response has already been received from 43 states. An interdepartmental group has been created to coordinate this work, involving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Duma, the Federation Council, and the Public Chamber.
The voting itself is scheduled for September 20. Deputies of the ninth convocation will be elected using a mixed system — 225 from party lists and 225 from single-member districts. These elections will be the first to take place in the territories of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions after their annexation to Russia in 2022.
In the Kirov region election commission, in response to a request from Newsler.ru about whether foreign observers will work in the region, they replied that they are not yet aware and do not have such information.
