Russia is closing seven railway border crossing points with Finland, Estonia, and Latvia.
According to the document, from July 1, the movement of people, vehicles, goods, and cargo will be halted through a number of railway border crossing points. At the border with Finland, the restrictions will affect the crossing points of Vyborg, Svetogorsk (Leningrad region), Värtsilä, and Lyuty (Karelia), as well as St. Petersburg-Finland. At the Russian-Estonian border, the railway crossing point of Pechory-Pskov will be closed, and at the border with Latvia, the Pytalovo crossing in the Pskov region will be closed. The government notes that the restrictions are being introduced temporarily. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to notify Finland, Estonia, and Latvia of the decision made.
