Bastrikin became interested in the case of a large family from Kirov living among sewage drains.

      A criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Kirov region regarding the violation of housing rights of a family living in a house on Ordzhonikidze Street in the Novovyatsky district. According to the agency, the apartment has been flooded for a long time with sewage due to malfunctioning engineering communications.

      According to the Investigative Committee, this leads to the destruction of floor coverings, damage to interior finishes, and the appearance of insects in the premises. Numerous appeals to the management company, according to the investigation, have yielded no results, and no measures have been taken to eliminate the violations.

      Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has requested a report from acting head of the regional Investigative Committee Sultan Orazayev on the preliminary and final results of the investigation, as well as on the measures being taken to restore the family's rights. The execution of the instruction has been placed under control at the central office of the agency.

      Earlier, we reported that a sewage pipe has been leaking in house No. 11 on Ordzhonikidze Street for over a year. Due to constant flooding, the bathroom has come into an emergency state: the floor has sagged, the toilet has tilted, the walls are covered with dark mold, and dampness and insects have appeared.

      The family, which has five children and is expecting a sixth, has repeatedly contacted the management company, but to no avail. After the intervention of the People's Front, representatives of the management company visited the site, but the repairs were never carried out. The State Housing Inspectorate has already announced an inspection regarding the management company LLC "New City."
