A bucket strike instead of a maneuver: the investigation into the death of a man in the Slobodsky district has been completed.

      The Slobodskoy Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region reported on the completion of the investigation regarding a 51-year-old resident of the area. The man is accused of causing the death of another person through his actions while operating a forklift.

      The case materials state that the tragic events unfolded on May 6, 2026, closer to the evening in the village of Vakhryushi. The accused, while at the wheel of the lifting vehicle, began a maneuver but did not ensure that it was safe for those around him beforehand. The bucket of the forklift struck the rear side of a dump truck. At that moment, a 50-year-old man was in the truck bed — he sustained injuries incompatible with life and died at the scene.

      The accused, as reported by the agency, fully admitted his guilt and expressed remorse.

      The investigation has gathered sufficient evidence, after which the criminal case with an approved indictment has been submitted to the court. Now it is up to the court to determine the measure of responsibility for the accused under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence).
