Migrants were checked in Kirov.
On June 29, employees of the military investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov garrison conducted a planned document check of citizens on the central streets of Kirov.
By law, men of conscription age who have obtained Russian citizenship are required to register for military service within two weeks after taking the oath. However, in practice, as noted by the agency, many do not comply.
Raids are taking place across the country, including in the Kirov region. They check markets, warehouses, retail outlets, and construction sites—places where former migrants who have obtained a Russian passport work.
During today's inspection in the center of Kirov, no violators were found: all previously registered individuals have already been registered for military service. This year, dozens of violators have been identified in the region, and they have been held administratively accountable.
