The Bank of Russia will put VDNH into circulation.
The Bank of Russia has announced the release of a new commemorative silver coin from the series "Architectural Monuments of Russia." It is dedicated to the VDNH exhibition complex — one of the most famous historical sites in the country.
The coin will enter circulation on June 30, 2026. Its nominal value will be 25 rubles, and the total mintage will be only 1,000 copies.
The reverse side features the arch of the main entrance to VDNH with the gilded sculpture "Tractor Driver and Collective Farm Girl." In the background, Pavilion No. 1 "Central" can also be seen. At the bottom of the coin, the inscription "VDNH" is placed.
The coin is made of 925 silver. The weight of the precious metal in pure form is 155.5 grams, and the diameter is 60 millimeters. It is produced as a "proof," which is used for collectible items.
Let us remind you that VDNH opened in Moscow on August 1, 1939, as an exhibition of achievements in Soviet agriculture and industry. Today, it is the largest museum and exhibition complex, housing dozens of cultural heritage sites, including the famous fountain "Friendship of Peoples" and the monument "Worker and Collective Farm Girl."
As noted by the press service of the Bank of Russia, the new coin is an official means of payment and must be accepted at face value throughout the country; however, due to the limited mintage, it is likely to quickly become an object of interest for collectors.
