In the Kirov region, 74.7% of local roads do not meet standards.

      The total length of public roads in the Kirov region by the end of 2025 was 25,144.4 km. The majority of the road network in the region (86.5%) consists of local roads. Regional and federal roads account for 10.4% and 3.1%, respectively.

      More than half of the local roads are unpaved, and their passability depends on the season and weather. Paved roads make up 48.9% of the total. Of these, 54.5% (5,799 km) have improved asphalt concrete surfaces, while 45.5% (4,839 km) are gravel and crushed stone.

      The share of local roads that do not meet regulatory requirements by the end of 2025 was 74.7% — over five years, this figure decreased by 3.9 percentage points (or 738 km).

      There are 536 bridges (including overpasses and viaducts) on local roads. During the winter period, winter roads and ice crossings operated with a total length of 33 km. More than 2,500 bus stops are installed on local roads, and for safe crossing of the roadway, there are 8 underground and overground crossings — all located in Kirov.

      The length of lighting lines on roads and bridges in 2025 was 5,982 km (102.1% compared to 2024).
