A Kirov resident became the first female locomotive driver of a freight train in Russian Railways.

      Irina Miloserdova from Kirov became the first female driver of a freight electric locomotive in the entire network of OAO "RZD". She completed her training at the Kirov Training Center for Professional Qualifications, where she received a certificate for her new profession.

      Irina was born in Zuevka. According to her, she consciously chose to work on the railway, although she had previously tried her hand in various fields. First, the girl completed her training in Izhevsk under the program for assistant drivers of diesel and electric locomotives.

      In May of last year, Irina got a job at the Lyangasovo locomotive depot, where she started working as an assistant driver on freight trains. A year later, she decided to go further and underwent retraining in Kirov to become a driver of an electric locomotive.

      The training center notes that Irina showed good results and successfully passed her exams. According to the management, she has established herself as a responsible and goal-oriented employee.

      In the near future, Irina will undergo the so-called "trial run" — the final stage of training, after which she will be entrusted with the independent operation of freight trains.
